City break in Bucharest plus the castles and Transylvania in just 4 days. With a full day to visit Bucharest and another one to discover the charm of Transylvania and the 2 iconic castles, it is the most recommended trip for a weekend or a holiday.

If more people sign up for the tour you have booked / if it's you who signs up for an already scheduled tour, the tour will be shared. On a shared tour, the price is the one that corresponds to the total number of participants (from 6 it no longer decreases) and there is a maximum of 16 participants. If you don't want to share the tour, ask us about it.

• Confirmed hotels can be communicated only after making the reservations on specific dates
• center 0 / center 1 / center 2 means: 0-5 / 5-15 / 15-25 minutes walking distance from the center (the important tourist area of the city)
• Some 3* boutique hotels and pensions don't have an elevator or air conditioning (because it is not usually required). If these are essential requirements, please let us know.

How it is organized
• 3 overnights in Bucharest. Optional: 2 overnights in Bucharest and 1 overnight in Brasov.
• Itinerary: Bucharest (the capital) - Sinaia (Peles Castle) - Bran (“Dracula's Castle”) - Brasov (the “crown city”) - Bucharest (the capital)
• This tour has 3 overnights and 4 days: 2 days of arrival & return and 2 days of program with activities such as: city tour, free time, and visits along the route.
Short description
Concept:
• 4 days in total and planned from Thursday to Sunday. It can be adapted to your flights and available days while taking into account the visiting hours of the planned attractions
Custom-made:
• Adapt: if on day 1 you arrive late, we recommend taking the Bucharest tour on day 2, starting around 10:00, and leaving the day trip for day 3.
• Relax: Day 2 can end in Brasov. It can be a more relaxed day, without the way back to Bucharest. You gain time to explore this beautiful city and make other possible visits.
• Improve: if the return flight leaves late and you want to spend a night in Brasov to relax and enrich your trip, you can consider the following program. Bucharest Tour - on day 2, on day 3 - leave and follow the route to Brasov, and on day 4 - return from Brasov directly to Bucharest Airport (on the way, without re-entering the city).

Day 1 of 4. Arrival in Romania.
Bucharest ☾
Program: free time in the city center
Arrival at Bucharest Airport and meeting with Santiago Tour’s guide / driver.
Transfer to the accommodation.
Depending on the arrival time, free time in the city center (without driver or guide). You can stroll around the old town "Lipscani", where the capital city is recovering its "belle époque" charm: the Central Bank, the CEC Palace, the Macca-Vilacrosse covered passage, and its medieval identity: the Princely Court of Vlad Tepes "the Impaler ", the Old Court Church or the Stavropoleos Monastery.

Day 2 of 4. One day trip to the castles and Transylvania (with Brasov)
Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov - Bucharest ☾. 375 km
Program: visit Peles Castle, Bran Castle and a short tour of Brasov.
Duration: aprox. 12-13 horas.
Starting time: between 07:00 and 08:00 AM (the latest).
Breakfast. We leave Bucharest heading toward the Southern Carpathians and arrive in about 2h / 2h30 at Sinaia mountain resort. We visit Peles Castle (standard tour), the last royal residence in Europe built in neo-Renaissance style. Then we continue the route to Bran and discover "Dracula's Castle", where the myth of the Count-Vampire enfolds in mystery a great historical fortress. Time to have lunch (approx. 1 hour) and short time to buy souvenirs, leaving for Brasov afterwards, a charming town at the foot of high mountains. Short walking tour (approx. 30 minutes) of the beautiful pedestrian center where the Black Church stands out, an imposing Lutheran church housing the second collection of oriental carpets in Europe. Short free time (approx. 30 minutes) and head back to the capital. Arrive in Bucharest and overnight accommodation.
Optional: ALTERNATIVE DAY 2. Finish today’s program in Brasov and return to Bucharest on day 3.
Bucharest - Sinaia / Bran - Brasov ☾. 200 km. The price changes!
Program: visit Peles Castle or Bran Castle; tour, free time and overnight in Brasov.
A more relaxed trip, without the way back to Bucharest and leaving one of the two attractions for the next day. You gain time in the charming Brasov, a prosperous "city of the Crown" founded by the Saxons in the Middle Ages. Arrive at Brasov and visit the city, strolling around the elegant pedestrian center located right at the foot of Mount Tampa while protecting the Black Church - among the most iconic Gothic monuments in Eastern Europe. The Catherine’s Gate and Schei Gate can also be seen, part of the old defensive system. Overnight accommodation and free time.
Other possible short visits that can be added by reducing the time spent in Brasov:
- Sinaia: the beautiful Sinaia Monastery, Prejmer: the UNESCO fortified Church.
DAY 3 changes to: Brasov - Sinaia / Bran - Bucharest ☾. 200 km. Back to Bucharest, with an afternoon city tour!
Program: visit Peles Castle or Bran Castle; visit and free time in Bucharest.
A day on the road, visiting one of the two castles in the morning, on the way back to Bucharest. Return to the capital and visit the city in the afternoon (see below). Free time and overnight accommodation. No doubt there will be less free time in Bucharest than in a full day in the city.

Day 3 of 4. City tour. 5 hours
Bucharest ☾. 30 km
Program: visit Bucharest and free time
Breakfast. Full day in the capital with a city tour. Duration: approx. 5 hours. We will visit: the Village Museum (entrance fee), an open-air display of the country's rural architecture; the Revolution Square (stop) with the Romanian Athenaeum - one of the most iconic buildings, the Art Museum - former royal palace, and the balcony of the former Central Committee - where dictator Ceausescu delivered his last speech; the Constitution Square (stop), right in front of the Palace of the Parliament known as "Ceausescu’s Palace" - second largest building in the world (entrance fee); Patriarhiei Church and the Palaces of the Romanian Orthodox Patriarch (stop). Free afternoon and overnight accommodation. Suggestions for spending the free time: The Old Town (Lipscani), the parks of Bucharest, the Treasury (History Museum) or one of the Art Museums.

Day 4 of 4. Return
Bucharest - Airport ✈
Program: possible free time and airport transfer
Breakfast. Free time in the city depending on the flight and transfer to the airport. End of Santiago Tour’s services. Thank you!
